Eathai Restaurant Co. in Bahrain seeks a Commis 2 to work a station in Seef kitchen, cooking to recipe cards under direction. You’ll gain independence on your station while a senior cook remains available for guidance.

Responsibilities include maintaining mise en place, strict food safety, FIFO, temperatures, and a clean station. The role is suitable for someone with at least one year in a professional kitchen and a transferable Bahrain visa is a plus.

Qualifications

• One year or more in a professional kitchen.
• Able to follow a recipe card accurately.
• Basic food safety knowledge (temperatures, dates, rotation).
• Able to work a ten-hour day on your feet in Bahrain.
• Fit for a Bahrain food handler card or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Cook your station to the recipe card, weight and plate.
• Finish mise en place before service.
• Call to the senior cook if behind schedule.
• Store, label and date items; maintain FIFO.
• Record fridge/freezer temperatures when asked.
• Keep station clean during service.
• Learn a second and then a third station.
