Job summary

Eathai Restaurant Co. in Bahrain's Seef district is hiring a Waiter / Server to deliver Thai hospitality with accuracy and warmth. You will learn the menu, take orders onto the POS, and ensure every dish goes out hot and well-presented.

We offer shared accommodation, a duty meal, transport between accommodation and the venue, visa and work permit processing by Eathai, and health insurance. The role requires at least one year serving in a restaurant and good English; Arabic is a plus, and you

Qualifications

• One year or more serving in a restaurant, café or hotel.
• Good English, clear and polite with guests. Arabic is a plus.
• Able to carry a full section through a busy service.
• Accurate on the POS, and honest with cash and card handling.
• Presentable, punctual, and calm when the restaurant is full.
• A Bahrain food handler card, or able to obtain one.
• Thai or Asian restaurant experience is an advantage.
• Already in Bahrain on a transferable visa is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Set your section before service and clear it down after
• Greet and seat guests, and take the order accurately onto the POS
• Know the menu — what is in a dish, how hot it is, what it contains, and what to suggest
• Check every dish before it reaches the table, and never carry out something you would not eat yourself
• Handle allergy and dietary questions carefully, and ask the kitchen rather than guessing
• Keep your section clean, stocked and tidy through service
• Handle a complaint calmly, and call the manager on duty before it grows
• Hand your section over properly at the end of the shift
