The University of Strathclyde’s Bahrain campus is seeking an engaged academic professional to join its Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering as a Teaching Fellow / Lecturer in Civil Engineering. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of the BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering programme at a formative stage of the institution’s international expansion. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality undergraduate teaching across civil engineering modules aligned with professional degree frameworks, covering core areas such as structural engineering, geotechnics, materials and environmental science, surveying, hydraulics and hydrology, and sustainable development. You will work collaboratively as part of an integrated Bahrain–Glasgow team to co-develop course materials, assessments, academic support structures, and contribute to the academic culture and standards of the new campus. This position is based on-site in Manama and supports the University’s mission to provide inclusive, research-informed, and industry-relevant engineering education. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (PhD) in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline; equivalent academic or professional qualifications with substantial teaching experience may also be considered in line with the University’s academic rank criteria.
