Introduction

The Interior Design Engineering program at Gulf University aims to equip graduates with career opportunities through knowledge, analytical, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. The curriculum includes internships, graduation projects, field visits, and guest speakers, serving as a foundation for graduate-level study and professional qualifications.

Expected Qualifications
  • PhD in Interior Design Engineering, Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Interior Built Environments, or closely related specialization from accredited institution.
  • Combined practice in both academia and industry.
Expected Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years higher education academic teaching plus relevant professional industry experience in interior design, architecture, or built environment.
  • At least two (2) years direct industry practice.
  • Proven university-level teaching effectiveness in reputable accredited institutions with diverse cultural environments.
  • Experience in studio-based teaching, project-based instruction, assessment, and graduation project supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability integrating real-world industrial case studies into academic teaching.
  • Advanced expertise with CAD, BIM, and Autodesk modeling platforms in academic and professional contexts.
  • Experience developing courses aligned with national qualification frameworks and international accreditation standards.
  • Active research engagement including peer-reviewed publications, design research outputs, conference participation, or funded research involvement.
  • Community service and professional societal impact project engagement.
