Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect for the RoMENA region. The role focuses on designing scalable, secure cloud architectures and guiding customers through migration to AWS. You will partner with sales to drive revenue and ensure successful deployment of cloud solutions.

Based in Manama, Bahrain, the architect will lead technical engagements, advise on security, cost and performance, and share best practices to enable cloud adoption across digital-native customers.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in technology domains including software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security or data analytics.
• Experience with AWS technologies from a Dev/Ops perspective.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience in software development or Internet-related industries.

Responsibilities

• Build and migrate applications on the AWS platform in collaboration with the sales team.
• Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
• Own the technical relationship between customers and AWS and advise on security, cost, performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Educate customers and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
• Conduct training and share best practices within the AWS solutions architect community.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for experienced and motivated technologists who possess a unique balance of technical depth and strong interpersonal skills. As a Senior Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, you will have the exciting opportunity to assist and shape the future of a high potential set of digitally native customers. You will partner with various AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.

In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a set of digital native customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the solutions architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build a mindshare and broad use of AWS.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

This role is based in Manama, Bahrain

Key job responsibilities As a key member of the sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform in partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS, Solutions Architects own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency.

Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.

Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
