Job summary

Havelock One in Bahrain is seeking a self‑motivated draftsman to prepare detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for interior fit‑out projects, align IFC drawings with BOQ, and ensure compliance with building regulations and project standards.

You will coordinate with MEP, Estimating, and project teams, raise RFIs, review subcontractor drawings, and deliver accurate submissions on time. Strong English, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma with high proficiency in AutoCAD.
• 5–7 years’ experience preferable in interior Fit-out industry.
• Action oriented and a good team player.
• Excellent English language skills - Verbal & Written.
• Detail oriented with strong planning and time management.
• Extensive knowledge of materials and technical specifications related to interior design.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design/shop drawings in AutoCAD aligned with IFC drawings, BOQ and project specs.
• Identify discrepancies between IFC drawings and BOQ and communicate gaps to project QS.
• Coordinate with MEP, Estimating and project teams for regular updates and approvals.
• Raise design RFIs and ensure drawings are checked and coordinated before client submission.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and standards in all drawings.
• Review subcontractor drawings for correctness and alignment with in-house drawings before submission.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure smooth integration of their scope of works.

Role Summary

We are looking for a self- motivated draftsman who should stay up to date with new drafting software’s, advancements and have eye on the detailing for fitout/ MEP drafting. Preparation of detailed design drawings in AutoCAD. Submission of drawings, requisite project documents and coordinate to seek approval in accordance with the timeline, quality, assurance standards and clients project specifications.

Role Description

• Quick reader of IFC drawing & finding the discrepancy between IFC drawings and BOQ
• Highlighting the scope gap between IFC drawings and BOQ to project QS
• Preparation of coordinated shop drawings which should be in line with project specification, IFC drawings and as per site condition
• Identifying and Communicating potential design problems with project team
• Raising design RFI’s with Project team who can raise the design RFI to client and consultants
• Ensuring final designs are compliant with building regulations
• Ensuring all information to be incorporating in shop drawing & preparing for final submission
• Work in under pressure in line with drawing schedule as per client requirements
• Taking quantity from drawing & comparing with BOQ
• Regular co-ordination with Subcontractor for shop drawings related to there scope of works and reviewing the submitted drawings of subcontractors before client submission
• Ensuring subcontractors drawings are checked and verified before submission and ensuring inhouse drawings are coordinated with subcontractor shop drawings
• Reviewing and Co-ordinating the architectural drawing with MEP drawing
• Co-ordinating with MEP, Project and Estimating team for regular updates
• Work with CAD systems for creating, modifying, and issuing drawings
• Prepare submissions of requisite documents and coordinate for project approval
• Share regular updates on the project approval process with the Manager and seek guidance as required
• Work closely with all departments to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information
• Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy, compliance to standards, fits and stack-ups
• Work from drawings, sketches, scanned images, customer drawings or specifications.
• Use the accepted drawing standards as guidelines
• Awareness of the regular updates on the policy and procedure on seeking project approvals
• Carry out detailed site surveys and highlight any discrepancies between actual and design
• Manage the issuing and filing of drawings using standard drawings issue sheets
• Ensure drawings revision and amendments are accurately noted on the drawings and communicated to all stake holders
