Job summary

Nass Group & Corporation in Bahrain is seeking a Senior Draftsman to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings and models for multidisciplinary projects. You will support engineering teams by delivering Detailed design, fabrication, and as-built drawings, ensuring compliance with project specs and company standards.

You will guide junior drafters, coordinate with internal departments and clients, lead drafting tasks when required, and help maintain quality and organized project documentation

Job Summary

The Senior Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models for multidisciplinary engineering projects. The role supports the engineering team by producing detailed design, construction, fabrication, and as‑built drawings while ensuring compliance with project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices. The position also provides technical guidance to junior drafters and coordinates with internal departments, clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD.
• Review project drawings, specifications, existing models, and technical documents to develop accurate design deliverables.
• Conduct site visits, collect field measurements, prepare sketches, and document required project information.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop design solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Produce detailed design, fabrication, construction, and as‑built drawings from engineering sketches, vendor drawings, catalogues, and site data.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
• Maintain organized records of all incoming and outgoing drawings and project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior Draftsmen.
• Lead drafting teams when required and review drawings to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Procurement, Planning, Production, QA/QC, and Cost Control departments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors as required.
• Monitor assigned workload and communicate progress to engineering and project management teams.
• Comply with all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on AutoCAD drafting experience in engineering, industrial, mechanical, or construction projects.
• Experience in preparing construction, fabrication, and as‑built drawings.
• Experience supervising or mentoring drafting teams is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD.
• Experience in 2D drafting and 3D modelling.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access.
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills.
