Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on AutoCAD drafting experience.
• Experience in preparing construction, fabrication, and as-built drawings.
• Experience supervising or mentoring drafting teams is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and 2D/3D modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD.
• Review project drawings, specifications, existing models, and technical documents to develop accurate design deliverables.
• Conduct site visits, collect field measurements, prepare sketches, and document required project information.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop design solutions and resolve technical issues.
• Produce detailed design, fabrication, construction, and as-built drawings from engineering sketches, vendor drawings, catalogues, and site data.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
• Maintain organized records of all incoming and outgoing drawings and project documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior draftsmen.
• Lead drafting teams when required and review drawings to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineering, projects, procurement, planning, production, QA/QC, and cost control departments.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors as required.
• Monitor assigned workload and communicate progress to engineering and project management teams.
• Comply with all company health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
