Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a seasoned Mall Security Manager to oversee all security operations for a major shopping mall in Bahrain. The role requires developing security policies, coordinating with law enforcement, and ensuring emergency readiness while managing providers and staff.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8–10 years of experience in mall security, including 2–4 years in a managerial capacity. Proficiency in English and ERP systems is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in security management within a mall environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Organize and oversee all security operations of the Shopping Mall.
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures.
• Manage security providers and supervise staff.
• Monitor and report on security activities; prepare periodic risk assessments.
• Coordinate with police and authorities; ensure fire protection and emergency readiness.
• Develop crisis management and risk management plans.

Job description

Job Purpose:

Ensure the safety of everyone at the mall. They work for stores or the shopping center itself, patrolling the premises, checking surveillance equipment, and removing those who pose a threat. Assists during emergencies and contact law enforcement when required

Job Responsibilities:

• Organize and oversee all security operations of the Shopping Mall
• Creates and preserves an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected
• Provide strategic vision and direction in all security aspects of Shopping Mall
• Develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
• Implement, upgrade and monitor Security Technical Systems (CCTV system, access control, alarm systems, burglar systems, patrol control system, etc.)
• Propose annual security operations budget and monitors expenses
• Responsible for work permits approval (minor works, major works and hot works)
• Keep compliance with local authorities and liaison with Police Department and National Security
• Manage all security providers and supervises security staff members
• Monitor all security activities and provides relevant feedback to management through daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Active support to other Operations department team members
• Develop and implement Risk Management protocols and issues
• Develop and implement Crisis Management and emergency response procedures
• Implement and update HSE procedures and training
• Resolve dispute, complaint and lapses through strengthening the security systems
• Conduct security evaluations and risk and incident reports
• Responsible for fire protection

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management, Property Management or related security field

Preferred Experience:

• 8-10 years of experience
• 2-4 years in a managerial role in a Security Manager position "Specifically in Shopping Malls"
