Job summary

DHL Express in Bahrain seeks a Director of Employee Relations MENA to lead Labor Relations, Human Rights and HR Compliance across the region, designing strategy and delivering fair, respectful and high-impact solutions that enable managers to handle ER issues effectively.

You will drive regional ER programs, coordinate reporting with Global ER, liaise with trade unions in Bahrain and develop training to strengthen governance, employee engagement and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Employee Relations / Labor Law.
• Master’s degree in law, HR, Sustainability or equivalent.
• Certification as social auditor (SMETA) is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of Labor relations and Human Rights.
• Experience handling workplace grievances.
• Excellent communication and advising skills.
• Cross-cultural competence and global mindset.
• International experience and audit skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Labour Relations, Human Rights and HR Compliance across MENA.
• Design ER strategy and enable managers to handle issues.
• Coordinate ER reporting and escalations regionally.
• Liaise with Global ER and Compliance; promote fairness and inclusion.
• Manage relationships with trade unions in Bahrain.
• Develop ER training and awareness campaigns.
• Embed human rights in policies and processes.
