Job summary

V2X is seeking a Galley Manager to supervise galley operations and 12+ food service workers at ISA BOS. You will develop a 28-day NAVSUP P-486 cycle menu, ensure supplies meet daily meal prep, and oversee FSM system ordering and equipment accountability.

You will ensure meals meet Nutritious and Acceptable Meal standards, supervise safety training, manage RIK and cashiering, and coordinate maintenance. Requires high school diploma, military food service experience, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in a culinary or food management field preferred.
• Formal training as a chef, food service manager, kitchen supervisor, and food service planner is highly desired.
• Ten years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility in military food service, or five years at E7 rank or above.
• Minimum three years management experience in a galley or dining facility of similar size.
• Experience working with Foreign Nationals required.
• Previous Navy galley experience is highly desirable.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in MS Office software.
• Must have proof of U.S. Citizenship and a valid state driver's license and be eligible for access throughout the project geographic scope.

Responsibilities

• Manages and directs functions directly related to Galley operations
• Utilizes the FSM system to order subsistence supplies, manage galley operation and submit forms daily
• Develops 28-day menu cycle IAW NAVSUP P-486
• Maintains all equipment: accountability, serviceability, turn-in and stockage levels
• Ensures galley supervisors and employees complete sanitation and safety training as per NAVMED P-5010
• Ensures galley personnel comply with personal cleanliness and hygienic practices
• Performs logistic management to ensure daily meal preparation and serving processes
• Manages a 30 day subsistence and consumable supply to support the menu cycle
• Supervises cashier services for RIK and paying patrons
• Monitors and schedules maintenance of portable galley container equipment
• Performs other duties as required
