Job summary

Kempinski Hotels SA in Manama seeks an IT Manager to lead strategy, deployment, maintenance, and security of all hotel technology infrastructure, including pre-opening IT architecture setup.

You will ensure 24/7 system uptime, robust network environments, and data protection in line with corporate standards and local regulations, while managing vendors, budgets, and staff training.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years IT leadership in a luxury hotel; pre-opening system experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT or Network Engineering.
• Hospitality core systems: Opera PMS, Simphony POS, Cisco, Microsoft Server, Firewall, IPTV.
• Strong problem-solving, project management, communication, and fluent business English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pre-opening technology deployment across core hotel systems.
• Ensure 24/7 stability and uptime of hardware, software, and networks.
• Implement data security, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery.
• Manage IT vendor SLAs, licensing, procurement, and CapEx budgets.
• Provide user training and helpdesk support.

Description

The IT Manager leads the strategy, deployment, maintenance, and security of all hotel technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operational systems, high data protection standards, and robust network environments, including full IT architecture setup during the pre-opening phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Opening Technology Deployment: Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, and integration of core hotel systems (PMS, POS, RMS, Keycards, Guest Wi-Fi, PABX, IPTV, Network Infrastructure, and Cyber Security) prior to launch.
• Systems Maintenance & Support: Ensure 24/7 stability, performance, and uptime across all hardware, software, server environments, and hotel networks.
• Data Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity protocols, access controls, data backup frameworks, and disaster recovery plans in compliance with corporate standards and local data protection regulations.
• Vendor & Budget Management: Manage IT vendor SLAs, software licensing, tech procurement contracts, and departmental operating and capital expenditure (CapEx) budgets.
• User Support & Training: Provide technical troubleshooting, manage helpdesk operations for hotel staff, and deliver user training on core system usage and cybersecurity awareness.
