Job summary

IKEA Alsulaiman in Manama seeks an Interior Designer to strengthen the showroom as a commercial medium by blending global plans with local market needs. You will create inspiring room settings, translate customer insights into functional solutions, and use Revit to support planning and presentations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 2+ years experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Revit preferred.
• Strong interest in home furnishing, interior design, and current trends.
• Good aesthetics, functionality, and commercial presentation.

Responsibilities

• Create inspiring and functional showroom solutions across room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas reflecting IKEA identity.
• Translate customer needs into locally relevant, functional and commercial home furnishing solutions.
• Contribute to Showroom Matrix with diverse styles, living situations and price levels.
• Plan and implement range presentation solutions using IKEA tools with quality and efficiency.
• Use Revit for commercial planning and compilation packages within timelines.
• Stay updated on trends and contribute ideas in workshops and planning sessions.
• Collaborate with Com&In and other functions to execute plans and identify opportunities.
• Understand financial impact and optimize resource use.
• Maintain strong customer focus on the shop floor with safe, positive visuals.

To inspire and surprise visitors by presenting and communicating the IKEA home furnishing offer through strong visual impressions that exceed customer expectations, strengthen the IKEA Brand, and convert more visitors into customers.

The role is responsible for strengthening the IKEA store as a commercial medium by combining IKEA Commercial Plans with national and local plans to ensure the relevance, attractiveness, and competitiveness of the IKEA Brand in the local market, while maximizing sales and long-term profitability.

Accountabilities

• Use home furnishing competence to create inspiring and functional solutions across room settings, homes, vignettes, and sales support areas that reflect the IKEA identity.
• Gather insights from home visits and customer needs and translate them into locally relevant, functional, aesthetic, and commercial home furnishing solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of the Showroom Matrix, ensuring a variety of styles, living situations, and price levels with strong and distinct visual impressions.
• Ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency, and cost-consciousness when planning and implementing range presentation solutions using IKEA global tools and best practices.
• Use IKEA Revit software, libraries, and templates to complete commercial planning and compilation packages within agreed timelines.
• Stay updated on home furnishing, retail, and market trends and contribute creative ideas during workshops and planning sessions.
• Contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that support business growth, sales, and long-term profitability.
• Work closely with the Com&In team and other functions to execute agreed plans and identify commercial opportunities.
• Understand the financial impact of actions and ensure resources are used efficiently.
• Maintain a strong customer focus while working on the shop floor, minimizing disruption and ensuring safety and a positive visual impression at all times.
