SIXPENCE HR SOLUTIONS W.L.L. seeks a visionary Lead Architectural Designer to lead commercial, residential and hospitality projects from concept through completion.

You will bridge design and technical execution, leading a team of designers while maintaining strong client relationships. The candidate will manage multi-family residential work, commercial spaces, and large mixed-use developments, coordinating with engineers and consultants to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 3 to 5 years of progressive architectural design experience, with a proven track record handling both commercial and residential portfolios.
• Software: Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools (Lumion, Enscape, SketchUp, or Rhino).

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design across commercial, residential and hospitality projects from concept to completion.
• Direct, mentor, and collaborate with junior architects and drafting technicians.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and civil engineers to integrate systems.
• Serve as primary design contact translating client visions into actionable plans.
• Oversee all project phases: SD, DD, CD and construction administration.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes and life-safety regulations.

Job description

We are seeking a visionary Lead Architectural Designer to spearhead commercial, residential and Hospitality projects from initial concept through completion.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative design and technical execution, managing a team of designers while maintaining strong client relationships.
The ideal candidate has a diverse portfolio spanning multi-family residential, single-family custom homes, and commercial spaces (such as retail, office, or mixed-use developments).

Design & Project Leadership

Concept Development: Create innovative architectural concepts, spatial layouts, and aesthetic directions for both commercial and residential projects.

Team Management: Direct, mentor, and collaborate with junior architects, interior designers, and drafting technicians.

Consultant Coordination: Lead cross-functional alignment with structural, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and civil engineers to integrate all systems seamlessly.

Client & Project Management

Client Advisory: Serve as the primary design contact, translating client visions, brand identities (for commercial), and lifestyle needs (for residential) into actionable plans.

Phased Delivery: Oversee all project phases including Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), and Construction Documents (CD).

Construction Administration: Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, conduct site visits, and ensure construction aligns with design intent.

Compliance & Technical Execution

Code Alignment: Ensure all designs comply with local zoning bylaws, building codes and life safety regulations.

Material Selection: Research and specify sustainable building materials, finishes, and construction assemblies appropriate for project budgets and types.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

3 to 5 years of progressive architectural design experience, with a proven track record handling both commercial and residential portfolios.Technical & Soft Skills:Software: Advanced proficiency in Revit Advanced level, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools (e.g., Lumion, Enscape, SketchUp, or Rhino).

Adaptability: Ability to shift gears easily between the intimate scale of high-end residential design and the complex programming of commercial spaces.

Communication: Exceptional presentation skills to pitch concepts to corporate boards, developers, and private homeowners alike.
