You will read blueprints, lay foundations, mix mortars, and place finishes while following safety guidelines on site. This part-time position offers practical experience in a varied construction setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason or similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans.
• Familiarity with different building materials and their properties.
• Knowledge of mixing mortar and cement ratios.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail.
• Good physical strength and stamina.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Lay out patterns or foundations for buildings using measuring tools
• Mix mortar and cement according to specified proportions
• Use hand and power tools to cut or shape materials
• Build walls, chimneys, arches, and other structures
• Repair or replace damaged bricks, stones or other building materials
• Apply different types of finishes to completed structures
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations on job sites
