Job summary

Maseera, based in Bahrain, seeks a Finance Officer to support the Financial Controller with statutory reporting in line with IAS/IFRS. The role involves managing management reports for senior leadership and regional offices, coordinating with the Central Bank, and aiding budgeting and VAT compliance from the Bahrain branch.

The ideal candidate has ACCA or MBA Finance qualifications and at least 3 years of banking experience, with strong financial controls and stakeholder communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant banking experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Controller in preparing Financial Statements per IAS/IFRS.
• Prepare and manage management reporting for senior management and regional offices.
• Prepare periodic returns for Central Bank of Bahrain to avoid penalties.
• Assist in implementing new accounting standards.
• Provide support for VAT-related compliance.
• Assist in budgeting and variance analysis with business heads.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and regulators.
• Strengthen controls over financial reporting through account ownership and reconciliation processes.
