Job summary

mployedin Bahrain is seeking a Finance Controller to oversee day-to-day financial control and accounting operations in a dynamic environment. You will verify bank payments, monitor cash flow, and ensure timely payroll processing while supervising the accounting team.

The role requires strong knowledge of financial controls, budgeting, and reporting, with experience leading finance teams and improving ERP processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
• Experience as Finance Controller, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar senior finance role
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, treasury, bank reconciliation, payroll, budgeting, and management reporting
• Experience in supervising accounting/finance teams
• Good working knowledge of ERP and accounting systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently review and challenge financial transactions and identify discrepancies
• Experience in F&B, retail, catering, hospitality, or multi-outlet operations will be an advantage
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day financial control and accounting operations
• Review and verify bank payments, payment requests, and financial transactions
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, funds, and bank balances
• Conduct and review regular bank reconciliations
• Verify payroll and ensure accurate and timely processing
• Supervise accounts payable, receivables, purchase bills, expenses, and related accounting activities
• Monitor budgets, operating costs, and financial variances
• Prepare and review management and financial reports
• Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and weaknesses in financial controls
• Establish and maintain effective internal financial control procedures
• Supervise and guide the existing accounting and finance team
• Monitor the ongoing ERP improvement and integration process
• Coordinate with the external professional accounting firm supporting finance transformation, systems, compliance, and governance
• Ensure proper implementation of improved financial processes and controls
• Provide management with accurate financial information and highlight financial risks requiring attention
