Zenon Aviation in Bahrain is seeking an Engineering Director on a permanent basis to oversee airworthiness, safety and regulatory compliance for the client fleet. This onsite, full-time role reports to the CEO and requires strong leadership of engineering and maintenance strategies.

The successful candidate will manage budgets, regulatory liaison, and improvements to reliability and airworthiness programmes, while guiding technical teams and senior stakeholders across the organization.

Formación

• Eligible to serve as the CAA NPH.
• Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence or equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, including at least five years in a senior leadership role.
• Experience managing maintenance and continuing airworthiness programmes.
• Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements and industry best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and operational performance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the company’s engineering and maintenance strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable CAA regulations, manufacturer requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee aircraft maintenance, repairs, modifications, reliability and airworthiness programmes.
• Develop and strengthen the Maintenance Control function and technical teams.
• Act as the primary engineering liaison with regulatory authorities, aircraft manufacturers and maintenance providers.
• Manage engineering budgets, contracts and resource allocation to deliver efficient, cost-effective operations.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, new technologies and process enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Support operational decision-making and address critical engineering matters as required.
• Represent the client at industry forums, regulatory meetings and professional events.

Minimum Skills and Experience:

• Eligible to serve as the CAA NPH.
• Hold a valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence or equivalent qualification.
• Have at least 10 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance and engineering, including a minimum of five years in a senior leadership role.
• Demonstrate experience managing maintenance and continuing airworthiness programmes.
• Possess a strong understanding of aircraft maintenance regulations, airworthiness requirements and industry best practices.
• Demonstrate proven leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Possess strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Have experience managing budgets, vendor relationships and operational performance.
