Al Ghalia in Bahrain is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our Chinese cuisine team, specializing in Dim Sum. You will gain hands-on experience in preparing traditional delicacies while working closely with senior chefs to deliver authentic flavors and exceptional presentation.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Chinese dim sum techniques and a diploma in Culinary Arts. You will maintain hygiene compliance and assist in ingredient preparation and cooking support. Full-time position offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Asian or Chinese cuisine is an advantage.
• Enthusiasm for learning traditional dim sum preparation methods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients: wash, cut, and portion vegetables, meats, and seafood for dumplings.
• Assist in preparing dough and wrappers for dim sum items.
• Operate steamers, fryers, and ovens under supervision.
• Set up and maintain the dim sum station with necessary ingredients and tools.
• Support plating and garnishing of dim sum dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of prep and cooking areas.
