Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, measurements, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box when it comes to creating unique desserts.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas and instructions to staff members.

Responsibilities

• Create a variety of desserts and pastries according to the restaurant's standards.
• Develop new recipes and menu items while keeping up with current food trends.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh, high quality, and within budget.
• Oversee the production of all baked goods in the kitchen.
• Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
• Maintain inventory of pastry supplies and equipment.
• Follow strict hygiene and sanitation guidelines at all times.
