Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain is seeking a skilled culinary leader to oversee kitchen operations, drive menu development, and uphold exceptional food quality. You will lead, train, and manage kitchen staff while maintaining safety, budgeting, and service standards across the restaurant.

Candidate should have strong European & Mediterranean cuisine experience, from a fine dining background or equivalent, and be adept at staff development, cost control, and guest satisfaction in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years experience in European & Mediterranean cuisine & fine dining, or
• 2-year degree in Culinary Arts/related field with 2 years culinary experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops, designs, or creates new culinary applications, ideas, relationships or products for the restaurant.
• Supervises kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
• Maintains safe food handling and storage standards and ensures quality presentations.
• Plans and manages food quantities and plating for the restaurant.
• Leads and trains kitchen staff to improve results and guest satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with applicable laws and safety standards.
• Directs daily and seasonal menu item development and execution.
• Maintains productivity and cross-trains staff to support daily operations.
• Provides leadership by example and fosters teamwork and mutual respect.
