Responsibilities

  • Develop new business across UAE and GCC marine/offshore markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore operators, EPC contractors and marine-service organisations.
  • Identify drydocking, newbuild, retrofit, repair and maintenance opportunities.
  • Generate enquiries for SACP, ICCP, MGPS/ICAF and corrosion-control services.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and technical/commercial meetings.
  • Develop and maintain an active opportunity pipeline.
  • Coordinate RFQs, quotations and proposals with engineering and production teams.
  • Follow opportunities from enquiry through quotation, negotiation and award.
  • Support vendor registrations, frameworks and strategic accounts.
  • Attend exhibitions, conferences and maritime industry events.
  • Maintain CRM, forecasting and customer follow-up.
  • Collaborate with regional operations and manufacturing partners across the GCC.

CCME-MCPS is a specialist marine corrosion-control engineering and manufacturing company providing engineered systems, products and lifecycle support to shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore operators and marine contractors.

Our capabilities include sacrificial anode cathodic protection, ICCP, MGPS/ICAF, corrosion inspection and condition assessment, installation, commissioning, retrofit and specialist marine engineering services.

With engineering heritage dating to 1981, Gulf manufacturing capability and an expanding international presence, CCME-MCPS combines engineering, manufacturing and field delivery within a single corrosion-control organisation.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand our commercial presence across the UAE and wider GCC marine and offshore markets.

This is not an inbound-sales or desk-based account-management role.

We are looking for someone capable of identifying opportunities, opening doors, developing relationships and converting technically led marine and offshore requirements into commercially viable projects.

The successful candidate will work directly with CCME-MCPS engineering, manufacturing and management teams and will be expected to develop relationships throughout the regional maritime sector.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop new business across UAE and GCC marine/offshore markets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore operators, EPC contractors and marine-service organisations.

Candidate profile

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

Marine Engineering · Ship Repair · Ship Management · Shipyards · Offshore · Cathodic Protection · Corrosion Control · Marine Electrical Systems · Marine Equipment · Technical Marine Sales

You should have:

  • Proven B2B business-development or technical-sales experience.
  • Relevant UAE/GCC marine or offshore market knowledge.
  • Ability to develop business rather than simply manage existing accounts.
  • Strong client-facing and relationship-development skills.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical engineering products and services.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Commercial awareness and proposal/quotation experience.
  • Ability to independently manage an opportunity pipeline.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UAE and GCC.

Highly advantageous:

  • Existing relationships with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards or offshore operators.
  • Marine engineering, electrical, mechanical or corrosion-control background.
  • UAE driving licence.
  • Existing UAE/GCC industry experience.
