AWAL A.C & REFRIGERATION WORKSHOP is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead the MEP HVAC and Stainless-Steel Manufacturing division, drive profitability, and identify new business opportunities. The role focuses on designing processes, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and growing the division as a self-sustaining profit centre.

• Graduation in Engineering with MBA.
• Leadership experience in HVAC/MEP/Food service equipment environment preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents including Bills of Quantities and Value Engineering queries; provide feedback as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of overall construction processes and operating practices in the GCC; stay aware of suppliers and sub-contractors in the market.
• Monitor the performance of consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Attend all periodic progress and technical meetings with relevant parties.
• Develop close business relationships with the project professional team.
• Monitor site inspection plans, approval processes, and participate in testing and commissioning in coordination with project leaders.
• Interface and coordinate logistics and quality assurance with the Project Team and companies.
• Identify and highlight problems in advance to prevent impacts on the works; ensure smooth operation of works and contracts.
• Supervise day-to-day task assignments and performance for all associates; plan and prepare work schedules and coordinate daily activities.
• Monitor and analyze business processes and results to profitably achieve the company’s goals; review and analyze reports and maintain the performance-tracking board; manage shrink and spoilage.
• Analyze results and trends and prepare action plans to leverage strengths and address opportunities.
• Ensure the execution of all action plans and report to management on status and required actions.
