Job summary

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Manama seeks an experienced engineering and facilities manager to assist the department head in managing budget, capital expenditures, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. You will help maintain the building and grounds with a focus on safety, security and asset protection.

You will assign, track and follow up on work by staff and contractors, and help improve guest and employee satisfaction through effective communication and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 4 years engineering/maintenance experience and HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• Or a 2-year degree in Building/Construction/Engineering/Mechanics with 2 years related experience and HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises distribution of repair work orders.
• Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
• Plans, schedules and evaluates preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
• Monitors timeliness and quality of repair work orders.
• Manages the physical plant including equipment, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Communicates business objectives and performance expectations to staff.
