Job summary

Raffles Hotels & Resorts at Raffles Al Areen Palace Bahrain invites applications for a Spa and Recreation Manager. You will oversee the daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Center, and Recreation facilities, leading a high-caliber team to deliver Forbes 5-star service.

The role requires 5+ years in luxury spa/leisure operations, 2-3 years in supervision, budget management, revenue growth, and collaboration with departments to ensure guest delight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Spa, Recreation, or Leisure operations within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
• At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role.
• Proven experience in a 5-star luxury property is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Spa, Fitness Center and all Recreation facilities.
• Lead, motivate and manage the Spa and Recreation team, including recruitment, training, scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, monitor financial performance and implement revenue strategies.
• Drive revenue through upselling treatments, retail, memberships and exclusive packages.
• Develop creative, culturally inspired recreational programs to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure health, safety, hygiene and pool supervision protocols are followed and compliant.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Maintain inventories, supplies and equipment; keep accurate records and reports.
• Ensure Forbes 5-star service behaviors and LQA standards are met.

• Drive revenue through upselling treatments, retail products, fitness memberships, and exclusive leisure packages.
• Develop and implement creative, culturally inspired recreational programs and wellness activities to enhance guest experience.
• Ensure all health, safety, hygiene, and pool supervision protocols are strictly followed and compliant with local regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Raffles Butlers, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and other departments to ensure seamless guest journeys.
• Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment maintenance for all Spa and Recreation areas.
• Maintain operational logs, prepare reports, and ensure all departmental records are accurately documented.
• Ensure all Spa and Recreation services, facilities, and team interactions consistently meet Forbes 5-star service behaviors and LQA operational standards.
