Job summary

AL MOAYYED INTERNATIONAL GROUP in Bahrain seeks an experienced financial professional to oversee monthly, quarterly and year-end closings, budgeting, forecasting, and project accounting across active projects.

The role requires strong IFRS knowledge, SAP Business One proficiency, and advanced Excel skills, with a focus on stakeholder management and strategic financial guidance for senior management.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.
• Experience in engineering, contracting, EPC, or project-based environments is a plus.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and taxation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Complete monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and finalization of accounts.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and assist annual business planning.
• Project accounting including project budgeting, cost allocation, WIP and revenue recognition.
• Review contracts, payment milestones, retention, variation orders; monitor customer credit limits and collections.
• Coordinate banking activities including Letters of Credit, bank guarantees and performance bonds.
• Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support decision-making through financial modelling and profitability analysis.

• Responsible to complete monthly quarterly and annual financial closing and finalization of accounts Lead budgeting forecasting and assist annual business planning Project Accounting including project budgeting cost allocation WIP revenue recognition Review commercial contracts payment milestones retention variation orders Review of customer credit limits customer collections monitoring overdue receivables Coordinate banking activities including Letters of Credit Bank Guarantees Performance Bonds Advance Payment GuaranteesReview VAT returns statutory filings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations Support business decision-making through financial modelling profitability analysis and commercial recommendations
• Professional accounting qualifications: ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive experience in financial accounting and reporting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.
• Prior experience within an engineering, contracting, EPC, or project-based business environment is an advantage.
• Good working knowledge of IFRS and taxation regulations
• Strong proficiency in SAP Business One (or comparable ERP systems); advanced Excel skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Commercial, Procurement, Operations, and senior management.
