Job summary

Food City W.L.L. in Bahrain is hiring an accounting professional to manage AP/AR, financial reporting, and cost accounting activities. The role emphasizes accuracy, autonomy, and a solid understanding of VAT compliance in a manufacturing and catering context.

We expect 2+ years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Odoo, QuickBooks, or SAP, plus Excel. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits within Bahrain’s market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in catering, food & beverage, or manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Odoo, QuickBooks or SAP and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Highly autonomous with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of general ledger, reconciliations and VAT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own Accounts Payable & Receivable processes and related accuracy.
• Prepare and review Financial Reporting and Performance reporting.
• Support Cost Accounting and Inventory control processes.

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience (preferably in catering, food & beverage, or manufacturing)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Odoo, QuickBooks, or SAP) and Microsoft Exce
• Highly creative and autonomous
• Strong understanding of general ledger, reconciliations, and VAT compliance

Nice to have

• Industry Experience: Prior background in institutional catering, central kitchen operations, or restaurant management
• Software: Advanced Odoo ERP experience and proficiency with data reporting tools
• Regulatory Knowledge: Hands-on experience submitting VAT filings with NBR (National Bureau for Revenue)
