Zusammenfassung

VIB is seeking a Health & Safety Manager (Prevention Advisor Level 1) to act as a key advisor and coordinator for a safe, healthy work environment. You will lead a small team with the current prevention advisor and collaborate with the biosafety coordinator across multiple sites in Flanders.

The role requires extensive experience in prevention and wellbeing, strong stakeholder management, and excellent Dutch/English communication.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or equivalent in life sciences, engineering or related field.
• Certified Prevention Advisor Level 1 or close to certification.
• Extensive experience in prevention and wellbeing in complex settings.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Aufgaben

• Advise management on wellbeing domains (safety, biosafety, occupational health, ergonomics, industrial hygiene).
• Prepare, coordinate and monitor the prevention plan and action plans.
• Lead and develop the internal prevention service and its impact.
• Coordinate work with HR, facilities, centers and external services.
• Monitor incidents and data to guide priorities and improvements.
• Coach managers, researchers and staff to foster shared ownership of prevention.
• Contribute to budget planning for health and safety initiatives.
• Drive awareness and a strong prevention culture.
• Travel across VIB sites in Flanders as needed.
