Job summary

Ghent University is seeking a 50% project coordinator for the HORIZON WoodStock initiative. The role focuses on coordinating work packages, meetings, and reporting to the European Commission, while ensuring timely research outputs and stakeholder communication.

The contract covers 1 December 2026 to 31 October 2028 and requires a doctoral degree in relevant fields. The successful candidate will manage collaboration across international partners, maintain compliance with grant terms, and support

Qualifications

• Thesis-based doctorate in wood science or related field.
• Strong project planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with European research projects and consortia.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work package activities and WP meetings.
• Monitor milestones and deliverables for the WoodStock project.
• Coordinate research, dissemination, and networking activities.
• Oversee reporting to the European Commission and grant administration.
• Plan and follow up consortium meetings and board meetings.
• Communicate with the Project Officer and UGent EU team.
• Ensure compliance with grant agreements and EC regulations.
• Provide logistical support for meetings and events in Belgium/Brussels.
