Pauwels Consulting is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to join the infrastructure team for a public sector client in Belgium. The role focuses on ensuring operational stability and continuous availability of the organization’s server infrastructure and digital systems.

You will resolve incidents, deploy infrastructure changes, and maintain Citrix XenDesktop and Remote Desktop Session Hosts, while collaborating in a hybrid, full-time role through 30/06/2027.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher.
• 5+ years of experience with Active Directory and Group Policies.
• 5+ years of experience with Windows Infrastructure Services (DHCP, DNS, PXE, Windows Firewall).
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, Authentication).
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps Server 2022 or higher.
• Experience with ITIL change management processes.
• Native Dutch language is required.

Our client, a prominent organization in the public sector, is seeking a Windows Systems Engineer to join their infrastructure team. The project focuses on ensuring the operational stability and continuous availability of the organization's server infrastructure and digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve second- and third-line technical incidents within the infrastructure environment.
• Implement service requests and small-scale infrastructure deployments.
• Execute line-of-business application releases on application servers.
• Maintain and monitor Citrix XenDesktop and Remote Desktop Session Hosts.
• Perform general maintenance and monitoring of the Windows Server environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with Windows Server 2016 or higher.
• 5+ years experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policies.
• 5+ years experience with Windows Infrastructure Services, including DHCP, DNS, PXE, and Windows Firewalling.
• 2+ years experience with Microsoft 365 technologies, specifically Exchange Online, Teams, and Authentication.
• You bring knowledge of Azure DevOps Server 2022 or higher.
• You possess experience with ITIL processes, particularly regarding change management.
• You are native in Dutch.

Nice to Haves

• Proficiency in Windows PowerShell and PowerShell Desired State Configuration.
• Knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Hypervisor, and NetScaler.
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM).
• Familiarity with VMware vSphere v8.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Knowledge of CommVault Simpana v11 Backup and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
