Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Weekend Shift Lead to provide operational leadership for the Environmental Monitoring (EM) and Logistics team on the weekend shift. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, logistics, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• GMP-regulated pharma, biotechnology, or laboratory environment experience.
• Experience in Environmental Monitoring, Quality Control Logistics, or sample management is a strong asset.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating work, setting priorities, and supporting or leading colleagues.
• Good knowledge of GMP, data integrity, safe working practices; knowledge of eLIMS or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions under time pressure.
• Fluency in Dutch and professional proficiency in English, with willingness to work a structured weekend shift on-site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating weekend activities across Environmental Monitoring, Quality Control Logistics, and sample management, including work allocation and scheduling follow-up.
• Coaching and supporting team members to promote clear communication, collaboration, ownership, and quality.
• Ensuring sample collection, receipt, labeling, registration, storage, distribution, and transport follow procedures.
• Overseeing Environmental Monitoring activities and timely documentation.
• Acting as first operational contact during weekend shifts and escalating deviations or safety risks promptly.
• Supporting deviations investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and change controls.
• Identifying and implementing improvements in safety, compliance, efficiency, digitalisation, and operational continuity, with clear handover to the next shift.
