Job summary

Work Life Group is recruiting for a cloud engineer to manage enterprise cloud environments in Azure and AWS, both on premises and in the cloud. You will administer VMs, storage and hosting platforms, and ensure the health of the cloud estate for a large multinational organisation near Brussels.

The role requires strong DevOps practice, experience with Terraform, and scripting in Python or PowerShell, with excellent English communication and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience administering enterprise cloud environments in Azure or AWS.
• Proficient in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting capabilities in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Experience with DevOps practices and cloud automation.
• Strong English communication skills.

A multinational defence organisation near Brussels needs an engineer who can run web hosting environments both on premises and in the cloud, and keep the cloud estate around them healthy.

What you would be doing

• Administering and configuring enterprise cloud environments in Azure or AWS
• Handling level 2 and 3 cloud support and resolving operational problems quickly
• Looking after VMs, cloud storage and web hosting platforms, on premises and in the cloud
• Optimising cloud components and the web hosting environment
• Automating deployments with Terraform or similar, and scripting routine work in Python, Bash or PowerShell

What you would bring

• Experience with web hosting platforms such as SharePoint, Apache or Oracle WebLogic
• Experience with AWS and Azure IaaS and PaaS services
• Azure VMs, virtual networks, load balancers and Azure Monitor
• DevOps practice with CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent spoken and written English and a real knack for problem-solving
• Comfortable working alone and as part of a team
