Ghent University is looking for a Professor in Comparative Oncology. The successful candidate will lead research in veterinary medicine, conducting internationally recognised studies while supervising PhD candidates and teaching Bachelor courses in Biochemistry.

This position offers a temporary tenure-track appointment and provides a generous starting grant of €240,000 for operational costs. Candidates should possess a Doctorate and have relevant post-doctoral experience.

Qualifications

• Strong academic CV with international visibility in oncological research.
• At least 2 years of post-doctoral experience.
• Mobility and participation in internationalisation activities are recommended.

Responsabilités

• Conduct innovative research in comparative oncology.
• Teach courses in the Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine.
• Supervise PhD candidates and master’s thesis students.

Knowledge of innovations in contemporary cancer research

Strong didactic and communication skills
