Job summary

VeroTech BV is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer to join our consultancy team. You will contribute to verification activities for complex components, assess design, behavior and performance through structured testing using manual and automated approaches.

The role requires hands-on testing, development of test cases, automation, and clear reporting across IT systems, IP networks and serial protocols. At least 3 years of experience and strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar V&V role.
• Fair understanding of IT systems, IP networks and serial protocols.
• Hands-on automation with Robot Framework, Bash or Python.
• Ability to design and execute manual or automated test strategies.
• Strong problem-solving for diagnosing network and system issues.
• Knowledge of cryptography or HSMs is a differentiator.

About the role

In this VeroTech consultancy role, you contribute to verification and validation activities for complex solution and product components. You assess design, behavior, interactions and performance through structured test execution, combining manual and automated approaches.

You work with test strategies, system requirements and technical results to evaluate overall quality. The role involves hands-on testing, automation, analysis and clear reporting across environments that include IT systems, IP networks and serial communication protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and integrate solution and product components to evaluate design, behavior, interactions and performance

• Develop and execute test cases that verify compliance with requirements and the test strategy

• Automate test procedures where possible to improve verification and validation efficiency

• Perform manual and automated tests, then analyze results to assess system quality

• Document test procedures, reports, findings and progress updates in formal deliverables

What we're looking for

You are a technically minded V&V engineer with solid testing skills, a structured approach to quality and the ability to diagnose complex system and network behavior.

• At least 3 years experience in a similar role.

• Fair understanding of IT systems, IP networks and serial protocols, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, IPv6 and Wireshark

• Hands-on experience with automation methods and scripting or programming tools such as Robot Framework, Bash or Python

• Ability to design, write and execute effective manual or automated test strategies

• Strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing network and system issues

• Knowledge of cryptography algorithms, experience with HSMs or software-hardware integration is a strong differentiator

Languages

Proficiency in French and English is required.
