Job summary

GIZ invites applications for an internship supporting the MobiliseYourCity program focused on sustainable urban mobility. You will help develop capacity-building activities and coordinate training, and you will contribute to research, articles, and communication materials for internal and external audiences.

The role requires ongoing or recent university study in transport, economics, or related fields, fluency in German and English, and a proactive, autonomous work style.

Qualifications

• Ongoing or recently completed university studies in relevant fields; student or graduate within six months.
• Business fluent in German and English; French/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of sustainable urban mobility challenges, Global South exposure preferred.
• Experience in international development cooperation and climate/transport is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist development and implementation of capacity-building activities (training workshops, online courses, peer learning) for urban mobility practitioners in multiple regions.
• Support planning and moderation of training series (virtual or in-person) with preparatory documents.
• Support organisation of events like methodological guidelines presentations and communities of practice.
• Assist with research and data collection on urban mobility topics in Latin America, Asia, Africa.
• Contribute to writing short technical articles, guidance documents, and presentations for external and internal project communication; support website, social media, and intranet content.
• Develop fact sheets, SUMP and NUMP summaries, and lessons learned documents.
• Support knowledge and network management and exchange of information with external stakeholders.
• Facilitate working groups with knowledge and network partners, including meetings and desk research.
