Job summary

GIZ is offering an internship in Brussels to support MobiliseYourCity communications and events. The role involves content creation, social media, and coordination across online and offline channels, with emphasis on sustainability and mobility policy.

You will gain hands-on experience in a diverse international team, working on editorial tasks, translations, and digital asset development, under Belgian law.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed university studies in communications, journalism, IR, political science or related fields.
• Fluency in English and French or German; knowledge of Spanish is an asset.
• Strong interest in sustainable development, urban mobility, and international cooperation.
• Structured, independent and reliable working style with autonomy and proactivity.
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel; knowledge of design software and openness to AI tools.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Monday) is an asset.
• Affinity for digital media, social media, websites, and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning and implementation of MobiliseYourCity events and partner activities, including webinars and trainings.
• Support the development and implementation of communication activities across online and offline channels (social media, newsletters, publications, Mailchimp).
• Support updating and maintaining MobiliseYourCity’s multilingual website and assist with translation/editorial work.
• Monitor developments in sustainable urban mobility and produce concise knowledge materials from desk research and partner activities.
• Create presentations and visual assets using Adobe software where relevant.
• Assist social media analytics reporting and improve digital communication activities.
• Provide administrative support including contact and mailing list management.
