Job summary

VeroTech in Belgium is seeking a Design and Release Engineer for Transmission Controllers to join our automotive team. You will support the development, release and continuous improvement of an existing transmission controller unit across mechanical, electrical, software and validation domains, collaborating with engineering leads, suppliers and production.

The role involves lab validation, change management, PPAP support and maintaining system traceability, with a focus on robust embedded

Qualifications

Master's degree in electronics or related field
4–5 years of experience in automotive design or power electronics
Hands-on experience with electronic systems and power electronics
EMC knowledge from education
Familiarity with Polarion/DOORS and CAN tools

Responsibilities

Support lab validation of controller integration within the transmission control system
Develop and maintain component requirements, specifications, DFMEA and system traceability
Coordinate component release activities through the change management system and align with global engineering counterparts
Support supplier management, APQP follow-up and production acceptance during PPAP builds
Analyze field returns, warranty cases and plant issues using CAN traces, performance indicators and structured 8D or Six Sigma methods
