Job summary

Thales Belgium is seeking a Trade Compliance Manager for the Herstal site with occasional visits to Tubize. You will join a multidisciplinary team within Legal, Contracts & Compliance, ensuring adherence to international trade laws and regulations.

You will manage classification, licensing, documentation, and training, while screening for restricted parties and supporting audits. Mobility between sites and English/French fluency are required; home working 1–2 days/week is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in foreign trade, logistics, transport or law or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Belgian export and import regulations and related regimes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise non-compliance stakeholders.
• Geographic mobility between Herstal and Tubize, with occasional travels.
• Fluency in English and French; knowledge of other languages an asset.

Responsibilities

• Import/export control compliance including regulatory reviews and licensing.
• Screen customers, suppliers and counter-parties against sanctions lists.
• Prepare and submit license applications; maintain audit-ready records.
• Provide training and guidance on trade compliance to internal teams.
• Maintain and improve trade compliance policies, procedures and work instructions.
