Thales Belgium is hiring a Trade Compliance Manager to join the Legal, Contracts & Compliance team in Herstal with occasional visits to Tubize. The role focuses on import/export control, sanctions screening, licensing and documentation, and training across logistics, procurement, sales and engineering.

Candidates should hold a bachelor or master degree in foreign trade, logistics, transport or law, and be fluent in English and French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master degree in foreign trade, logistics, transport or law or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to advise non-compliance stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Ensure compliance with Belgian and international export/import regulations, sanctions and embargoes.
• Review and approve export/import transactions for licensing and documentation.
• Classify product classifications (e.g., ML/HS codes) with technical teams.
• Conduct sanctions screening of customers, suppliers and counter-parties; escalate issues.
• Prepare licenses and end-use/end-user documentation; maintain audit-ready records.
• Provide training on compliance requirements and support policy development.
