Stellantis e-Transmissions in Sint-Truiden seeks a Design & Release Engineer to contribute to gear design, analysis, validation, and continuous improvement of transmission components. You will join the Torque Transfer Engineering Team within the Product Release Center and collaborate with CAE, manufacturing, and suppliers.

The role emphasizes design optimization, DFMEA, DVP&R support, and robust documentation to meet project requirements in an international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in gear design, transmission systems, and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with gear design software such as KISSsoft, MASTA, or LDP is an advantage.
• Understanding of product development processes and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of APQP tools and methodologies is considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• Design and optimize gear systems, including gear pairs and planetary gear trains.
• Ensure timely release of robust, high-quality designs.
• Use KISSsoft, MASTA, and LDP for gear design and analysis.
• Perform GD&T and tolerance stack-up analyses; guide CAD engineers.
• Lead DFM reviews with suppliers for cost-effective production solutions.
• Develop technical requirements for transmission components and subsystems.
• Prepare documentation for supplier sourcing and quotations.
• Conduct DFMEA and support DVP&R activities.
• Lead root cause investigations and 8D/Six Sigma activities.
• Collaborate across design, CAE, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality teams.
