Rhox in Belgium’s energy and utilities sector seeks a Senior Functional Test Manager to lead test coordination across business and technology stakeholders, covering functional, integration, acceptance and end-to-end testing.

You will plan, execute and track tests in a Jira-based environment, coach colleagues, align analysts and suppliers, and contribute to shift-left practices to improve software quality and release readiness.

Qualifications

• Five+ years as a Test Coordinator or Lead Tester.
• Five+ years as a Test Specialist.
• Experience testing in an Agile/Scrum project.
• Four years developing tests in a test management tool, preferably Jira.
• Experience with formal test methods and techniques.
• Experience coordinating test activities among business, analysts, developers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating functional, integration, acceptance and end‑to‑end testing.
• Clear communication skills and a hands‑on approach.

An organisation in Belgium’s energy and utilities sector supports projects and agile application teams through a multidisciplinary testing function. As a senior functional test manager, you lead test coordination across business and technology stakeholders, covering functional testing, integration, acceptance and end-to-end testing.

The mission

Testing supports both project delivery and agile development teams. You plan and coordinate execution, align business representatives, analysts, developers and suppliers, and maintain a structured view of test outcomes, risks and defects. Your scope includes hands‑on functional testing and coordination of test activities across several parties.

You work within a multidisciplinary team spanning functional and technical testing, quality management, Quality Engineering and test automation. The broader testing practice includes regression, release validation, API and CI/CD testing. You also contribute to a shift‑left approach, share knowledge and coach colleagues, and recommend practical improvements to test processes, test levels, governance and automation. The aim is to strengthen the quality and reliability of software deliveries.

Essential skills

• Experience coordinating test activities among business, analysts, developers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating functional, integration, acceptance and end‑to‑end testing.

• Experience in Belgium’s energy and utilities sector.
• Experience writing test scenarios.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or modern DevOps principles.
• Experience with the Tosca test automation tool.
• Experience with end‑to‑end chain testing across multiple organisations or applications.
• Experience improving test quality and continuously improving test processes.
• Experience with market platforms and chain integrations.
• Experience guiding users, organising workshops and transferring knowledge.
• Stakeholder management experience in complex environments with multiple external parties.

Languages

• Dutch: CEFR C2.

Working context

• Work closely with business, IT, suppliers and the organisation’s established testing function.
• Weekly travel to different organisational sites is required. Occasional travel to other sites may also arise.
