Job summary

Jefferson Wells Belgium is seeking a Test Engineer to set up, execute, and analyze IC and electronic system tests in a laboratory environment. You will work with design teams and external test partners to validate chip performance and support next-generation semiconductor technologies.

The role requires hands-on lab testing, data analysis, and automation scripting in Python or MATLAB. You will collaborate with international teams and contribute to thorough test reporting and issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience in IC testing or electronic system testing within a laboratory environment.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory measurement equipment and PCB-based test setups.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis.
• Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or similar automation environments is mandatory.
• Experience with IC testing and Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and debug chip test benches, including instruments, power supplies, boards, fixtures, cabling, automation scripts, and data acquisition systems.
• Execute functional and parametric tests according to the validation plan.
• Analyze measurement data, identify issues, and correlate results with design expectations.
• Prepare concise test reports with observations, pass/fail criteria, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with external test houses regarding test requirements, implementation, logistics, and data exchange.
• Track issues, support resolutions, and follow up on schedules and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal design teams and external partners to ensure successful validation activities.
