Koda Tech is seeking a hands-on Test Automation Engineer to join its growing Quality Assurance function in Belgium. You will focus on automated testing, end-to-end testing and CI/CD, while performing manual testing when needed, contributing to reliable software ready for production.

You will collaborate with Developers, Product Owners and IT Architects, design and maintain automated tests in a microservices environment, and help improve QA processes and tooling.

Responsabilités

• Define test coverage during feature analysis and development.
• Design, develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests.
• Work closely with developers to integrate testing throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex functionality.
• Build and maintain test datasets within a microservices environment.
• Monitor automated test execution and investigate/fix flaky tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Test Automation Engineer to join a growing Quality Assurance function.

You will work closely with Developers, Product Owners and IT Architects to ensure software is reliable, scalable and ready for production. The role has a strong focus on automated testing, end-to-end testing and CI/CD, alongside manual and exploratory testing where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Define test coverage during feature analysis and development.


• Design, develop and maintain automated end-to-end tests.


• Work closely with developers to integrate testing throughout the development lifecycle.


• Perform manual and exploratory testing for complex functionality.


• Build and maintain test datasets within a microservices environment.

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience within QA Engineering / Test Automation.


• Hands-on experience with TypeScript.


• Strong experience with Playwright and/or Cypress.


• Experience with Vitest and/or Jest.


• Understanding of Node.js, React and Express environments.


• Experience with API and end-to-end testing.


• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.


• Experience working with microservices architectures.


• Knowledge of Nx would be beneficial.


• Comfortable working directly with developers and contributing to technically focused QA solutions.

Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
