Job summary

OneSource Consulting in Brussels is seeking a senior test analyst to verify and validate software in business-critical applications. You will test manually and automatically, coach peers, and ensure release readiness in a hybrid setup.

The role requires deep expertise in test automation, Java, Selenium, and ISTQB, with strong communication across project teams. Dutch language skills at CEFR C2 are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of testing experience on large business-critical applications.
• Proficient in test automation and test analysis with strong documentation.
• Strong knowledge of ISTQB, V-Model and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication with internal project teams and stakeholders.
• Fluent Dutch at CEFR level C2 is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform test analysis and review test basis documentation.
• Prepare structured test scenarios within deadlines.
• Define minimum test requirements and create test data.
• Execute manual and automated tests and report results.
• Coach colleagues on use of test tools and frameworks.
• Record, track and analyze defects; verify fixes.
• Monitor test progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Ensure production readiness of releases through verification.

JOB DESCRIPTION

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expert knowledge of functional integration and user acceptance testing
• Expert knowledge of test automation
• Expert knowledge of test methodologies within the applicable SDLC (V-Model, Agile, Iterative,...)
• Very good knowledge of test methods such as ISTQB, Tmap
• At least 5 years of experience in testing large business-critical applications
• Communication skills to internal project teams
• Very good knowledge of at least the test tools to be used
• Language requirement: Dutch at European CEFR level C2

Business context

• Purpose of the role as senior test analyst: to verify and validate the delivered new or modified software in order to increase its quality Purpose of the role as test automator: to test, program and execute

Tasks

• Test analysis
• Going through all relevant documentation and information (test basis)
• In case of ambiguities, consult with the business analyst, project manager or test coordinator involved
• Prepare test scenarios accurately and in a structured way within a certain period of time
• Define the minimum test requirements
• Preparing test data
• Actively participating in working groups and meetings
• Proactively and constructively identifying bottlenecks to optimize test process
• Providing input for and reviewing test analysis plan
• Monitoring own planning
• Daily reporting of the progress of the test analysis
• Keeping the manual and automatic test scenarios up-to-date:
• In the context of regression
• In response to feedback from the test execution
• Coaching of colleagues with regard to the use of the test tool
• Accurate and critical execution (manual and automatic) of the test scenarios in the VFP applications to be tested (incl. regression test scenarios)
• Recording, reporting and analyzing (root cause) of the test results, making connections between the different results
• Have an eye for the user-friendliness of the system
• Create, retest and follow up on defects
• Take a position on the production worthiness of a release
• Actively participate in working groups and meetings
• Proactively and constructively identify bottlenecks to optimize test process
• Provide input for and review of test execution plan
