Greif Belgium, a global leader in industrial packaging, seeks a Safety & Environment Specialist to support safety, health and environmental initiatives. The role involves drafting annual action and preventive plans, coordinating audits, and driving safety culture across the workforce.

You will collaborate with the Plant Manager and other leaders to implement updates, manage safety projects (RIE, LOTOTO), and report monthly safety performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor diploma in Integrale Veiligheid or/en Maatschappelijke Veiligheid.
• Experience in a similar function.
• Attest Preventieadviseur Niveau 2 is a plus.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
• Self-starter with ability to communicate at all levels.

Responsabilités

• Assist in drafting and executing the annual action plan and global preventive plan focusing on safety, health and environment.
• Prepare and support safety audits and follow up corrective actions.
• Support the external environmental coordinator and follow up needed actions.
• Motivate and sensitize colleagues about safety culture with positive communication.
• Initiate and manage safety projects like revising the RIe and LOTOTO procedures.
• Implement changes to procedures per changes in legislation.
• Organize the annual Safety Day and monthly safety performance reporting.
• Prepare the CPBW committee.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and propose improvements.
• Conduct BBOs (behaviour based observations) in production.

Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between58,650.00 to67,400.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
