Job summary

TechWolf in Ghent seeks a Technical Team Lead to mentor engineers, design scalable software, and drive delivery with a focus on performance and cost efficiency. You’ll partner with product and delivery teams to shape roadmaps and ensure timely, high-quality execution.

Based in Belgium, you’ll work in our hybrid Ghent office at least three days per week and contribute to serverless Python microservices while exploring integrations with large systems.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of practical software engineering experience.
• Proficient in software development methodologies.
• Strong communicator in a collaborative environment.
• Experience onboarding and managing people, with performance management.
• Based in Belgium and able to work in Ghent office at least three days per week.
• Nice to have: serverless Python microservices on AWS and HRIS integrations, AI-first workflows.

Responsibilities

• Mentor across levels, provide feedback, conduct code reviews and guide juniors.
• Own system design and optimize software for performance and cost.
• Promote best practices in development, testing, and engineering processes.
• Contribute to project roadmaps, risk assessments and timely execution.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions.
• Define growth goals for direct reports and coach them to success.
