Job summary

BESIX Power, basé en Belgique, recherche un(e) Senior Technical Manager pour superviser des projets PV et stockage d'énergie (BESS). Vous serez responsable de la revue technique, de la planification, de l'ingénierie, des achats, de la construction, de la mise en service et du démarrage, sur des projets de petite à grande échelle.

Vous assurez l'analyse des cahiers des charges, validez le dimensionnement des systèmes de stockage et leur intégration au réseau, et agissez comme interface technique

Qualifications

• Diplôme d’ingénieur ou Master en génie électrique, énergie renouvelable ou discipline technique connexe.

Responsibilities

• Vous jouez un rôle central dans la revue technique, la planification, l’ingénierie, l’approvisionnement, la construction, la mise en service et le démarrage de projets PV et BESS de petite à grande échelle.
• Vous supervisez l’analyse des cahiers des charges et les études de faisabilité technique des projets PV et BESS, en examinant la conception et la mise en œuvre des projets.
• Vous recommandez et validez le dimensionnement des systèmes de stockage d’énergie et des plans PV et leur intégration au réseau électrique.
• Vous assurez l’interface technique principale entre clients, entrepreneurs, fournisseurs et parties prenantes internes dans des projets DBOO (Design, Build, Own & Operate).
• Vous recueillez des estimations CAPEX/OPEX régulières pour aider la prise de décision sur le développement et l’acquisition de projets.
• Assurer la conformité avec les normes, réglementations, exigences environnementales et les politiques HSE applicables.
• Vous travaillez en étroite collaboration avec le Directeur de BESIX Power et toutes les équipes impliquées dans le développement, la finance et le juridique.

In the context of its growing activities, BESIX Power is looking for a Technical Manager - Energy Storage and PV Generation directly reporting to the BESIX Power Director.

• You play a central role in the technical review, the planning, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up of small to large-scale PV and BESS projects.
• You oversee the analysis of specifications and oversight of technical feasibility studies for PV and BESS projects, reviewing the design and implementation of projects.
• You recommend and validate the sizing of energy storage systems and PV plans and their integration into power grids.
• You act as the primary technical project interface between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in DBOO (Design, Build, Own & Operate) projects.
• You collect regular capex/opex estimates to assist decision making for projects development and acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements, and HSE policies.
• You work closely with the Director of BESIX Power and all team members active in project development, finance and legal functions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or master’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in Project Management related to energy storage/generation or electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, power converters, and grid architectures within the energy, power generation, or industrial infrastructure sector.
• Knowledge of current regulations and standards in the field of energy storage.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering small- to medium-scale energy generation projects with strong knowledge in EPC and/or multi-lot project execution is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit, combining initiative, ownership, and a results-oriented attitude.
• Natural aptitude for working oneself, and ensuring that others work under safe conditions, while respecting social and environmental regulation.
• Fluent in English. Knowledge of French/Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel within Europe for shorter periods of time with on-site presence depending on project phase.
