Jobtailor in Belgium seeks a senior Release Manager to coordinate end-to-end release activities and align business priorities with technical readiness. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams, monitor risks and deployment readiness, and ensure quality, security, and architectural compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience, including at least 3 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing tech leads in large teams.
• Strong release management expertise and ability to formalise processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee end-to-end release activities, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical delivery readiness.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies across multiple teams, applications, and technology domains to ensure smooth and successful releases.
• Monitor release risks, blockers, and deployment readiness, driving timely resolution of issues and escalations.
• Ensure technical quality standards are met, including testing, security, operational readiness, and compliance with architecture guidelines.
• Drive collaboration between Product Leads, Technical Leads, Architecture, and Operations teams to support efficient delivery.
• Monitor application performance, quality metrics, and production incidents, promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support resource planning and budgeting activities by consolidating technical capacity, effort estimations, and delivery forecasts.
• Provide visibility and reporting on release status, dependencies, risks, and operational impacts to key stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective incident management and coordinate resolution efforts for issues affecting multiple teams or business areas.
• Contribute to the continuous optimization of delivery processes, governance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• A senior technical profile with breadth across the product line's technology stack
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5–8 years of experience, including a minimum of 3 years in leadership roles (management)
• Proven experience managing tech leads
• Background in complex technical environments with significant team sizes
• Deep understanding of release management practices
• Exposure to compliance frameworks and proven ability to formalise and implement processes & best practices
• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and coordinate complex technology environments
• Good understanding of software development ecosystems, preferably including .NET-based environments
• Knowledge of infrastructure concepts, cloud environments, and application deployment processes
• Proven experience working in organisations with strong product culture & emphasis on creating empowered teams (outcome-driven mindset)
• Fluency in English and French or Dutch
