Technical Designer – High Voltage
As a High Voltage (HV) Designer, you are responsible for the design of the HV installations. You prepare the plans and documents during the preliminary design and study phase for the realization of new HV installations and are responsible for modifying, expanding, or replacing existing HV installations.
Responsibilities
- Preparing preliminary designs in collaboration with the Project Leader
- Preparing layout plans for permit application dossiers
- Compiling the safety dossier and presenting it for review to the prevention advisor
- Preparing execution plans (layout plans, equipment plans, steel structure plans, etc.)
- Preparing the associated plan lists, steel structure lists, connection lists, etc.
- Checking the coherence of the manufacturer's dossiers and comparing them with your own HV study
- Ensuring the coherence of your own HV study with related Civil Work (CW), Linear Assets & Structures (LA&S) and Secondary Systems (SecSys) studies
- Ad‑hoc support for the Project Leader during execution works
- Design of the installations based on existing harmonization, while taking into account applicable ergonomic and safety rules. The design is carried out in 3D using Microstation and integrates the needs of adjacent disciplines such as Powerlinks, civil engineering for buildings, foundations and site layout aspects
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in electromechanics, electrical engineering, mechanics, or civil engineering.
- Perfect command of Dutch and/or French, good knowledge of the second national language and basic knowledge of English, with a willingness to further develop.
- Experience in 3D design in a CAD program and knowledge of the MS Office package
- Assertive and fluent communicator who is client‑oriented, values team spirit, and is creative.
