Elia Group is seeking a Technical Designer in the Brussels region to contribute to the design and realisation of electrical installations and systems.

You will work on cables, lines, underground connections and secondary systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to meet project requirements while embracing a hybrid work setup in Belgium.

Qualifications

• Qualification in a relevant technical field (electricity, electromechanics, automation or engineering).
• Experience with design activities and CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Team player with strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Eye for detail with strong planning and organisational skills.

Technical Designer – Brussels Region

Function

Within the Elia Group, Elia Engineering is responsible for all infrastructure projects that meet requirements with respect to the development, expansion and renewal of the Belgian electricity transmission system between 30 and 380 kV. As a Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design and realisation of various electric installations and systems, including cables and lines, underground connections and secondary systems.

Your Profile

• You have a qualification in a relevant technical field (e.g., electricity, electromechanics, automation or engineering).
• You have experience with design activities and are familiar with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) software, preferably AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• You are a team player with strong communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• You have an eye for detail, work accurately and possess strong planning and organisational skills.
• You are motivated to develop further and gain expertise in your field.
